Cable tray grounding wire is the safety connection that links your electrical system's cable tray to the ground. The metal in cable trays may be used as the EGC as per the limitations. The Cable Tray Grounding Wire ensures everything runs safely and smoothly. Consider it as an emergency electricity exit. For systems with 110kV and above, where the neutral point is effectively grounded, the metal sheath of single-core cables should be directly connected to the substation grounding. There are three wiring options for providing an EGC in a cable tray wiring system: An EGC conductor in or on the cable tray. Each multi-conductor cable with its individual EGC conductor.
